Whilst researching paper cut artists I found the work of Vincent Hawkins. He cuts, small and large scale papers into origami shapes. Allowing their natural weight to create folds and dimensions as they hand on the wall. He paints the papers, prints and layers them. They become their own landscape. His paintings also show the development of the ideas from cut paper, to paint, back to cut again.
